A Live for Speed racing community

I know, I know - I hate all this "under construction" malarkey too. But alas, I have lots to do and everything needs to come together just a little bit more before you see anything of much use here, and I need a placeholder ;)

I'm putting together a system* that will run automated leagues and one-off events for 9 cars across 4 classes (from Club to GTR), open to anyone with the right attitude, regardless of ability; loads of LFS resources such as public skins** & generators, autocross layouts & generators, setups & guides; A community (forum/chat/buddylist/etc) and, of course, the obligatory stats up to your eyeballs***. All this may take a while :)

It's aimed at people who enjoy racing. No, not everyone who plays LFS, I don't mean that kind of 'enjoy'. Not crashing, not whinging about crashing, not 10 restarts in a row because you just can't bear to hang back from the newbies at T1, even just a little. People who want to improve steadily with a smile on their face, in a nutshell. No aggro, no attitude, no fuss - there are plenty of places that will put up with that kind of nonsense - maybe you'd be happier on one of them? - but here it'll bring a swift and permanent lash of the ban-stick.

It's not a team, so feel free to come and represent your team in full livery if you like, or bring along a sworn enemy or two for some inter-team friendlies. I've got some PiranMOTO livery public skins under way - you'll be free to use them here or anywhere else - and I'll host them on LFSworld for public use too.

All told, this will either be a slick place to race and hang out, stress-free... or an empty server with the occasional yet-to-be-banned idiot popping in to keep me company. I'll have great stats though ;)

So, what do you think? More importantly, are you in? Drop me an email and I'll keep you up to date.

Next up is the almost-empty website framework... which I'll sprinkle some public skins into, at the very least. After that a member system so you can get email updates, and then we'll get stuck into the event system (on which tinkering continues in the background, more often than not).

* I'm a web developer by trade and I've got all the important bits mocked up and tested, so it's just a matter of prying myself from the family and/or steering wheel once in a while...

** 18 variations for each of the 9 cars. I must be mad.
